Louis Armstrong

Louis ArmstrongLouis Armstrong, also known as "Satchmo" and "Pops", was an American Jazz legend in the 1920's. His voice and outstanding instrumental skills won him fans of all colour across America, during a time when the country was racially divided.

Louis Armstrong had 4 wives and 1 adopted child who suffered from a mental disability.

His most famous song today is called "What a Wonderful World" and can be found on media platforms like Spotify.

He died of a heart attack in his sleep a month before his 70th birthday.

Kate Sheppard

Kate Sheppard was a women's suffragist who dedicated her work to campaiging for equal rights for women. Her passionate work resulted in New Zealand being the first country in the world to grant all woman the right to vote in a general election.

Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse is a British singer and songwriter. Her music skyrocketed into fame with the release of her Grammy Award winning album "Back to Black" in 2006.

Amy Winehouse's issues with substance abuse garnered widespread media attention and she disappointed many fans turning up to concerts drunk, or cancelling last minute.

She married once and divorced shortly after.

Amy died at the very young age of 27 from alcohol poisoning. A foundation was set up in her name to provide suport to vulnerable and disadvantaged children.

Vincent van Gogh

His nephew opened up the Vincent van Gogh Museum which is one of the most visited museums in the world.
