Ove Bjerregaard This picture was taken at our home in Lexington MA during a visit quite a few years ago, perhaps 10. Reiner had a great time dropping the lobster into the hot water and we enjoyed a wonderful meal together. We always had a cheerful banter and enjoyed sharing experiences, including stories from out travels and our home countries, i.e. his Germany and my Denmark.

Dear Reiner, You will be missed as the loving husband, father, grandfather and friend you were to us all. We are fortunate to have been part of those who have come to know your kindness and friendship. We fondly remember our walk together and chat on Latimer Lane. We are keeping you in our hearts and prayers. May you Rest In Peace, my friend. With ...
Tom Konop Years ago, this tree was planted in front of our house by our neighbors: Reiner and Chaco Peters. Each spring when this Japanese cherry tree blooms and weeps, it will remind us of a wonderful man - Reiner. Tom Konop and Barbara McNally
Dear Chako and Family, We are so sorry to hear the news. Reiner was a great mayor of Bacon Court and a wonderful man. It was a pleasure for me to work along side of him. Condolences from the Giangola Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Debbie Giangola
Hisako Markus Stefan Peters A few "essentials" from my father library. He had an immense curiosity about so many things and passed his sense of wonder on to us.

Jen Coleman Nice bow Reiner!
Jen Coleman Dear Peters family, I am so sorry to hear of Reiner’s passing. I have many wonderful memories of visiting 8 Bacon Court. In particular, I remember my parents staying up late talking and laughing with Reiner and Chako. I’d like to think Reiner and my dad are telling stories and cracking jokes again now.

Dearest Peters Family Id like to join with you in remembering a cherished old friend of over 30 years..... and with you Chako, Marcus and Stef - and your families - in remembering a wonderful man! As a Brit, Id say he was always a "true Gentleman" - honorable in the old fashioned sense of the world - and just as importantly, a truly KIND man! ...
Matthew Fernandes-Vogel Reiner was the man who introduced me to the incredible thinker and teacher J. Krishnamurti. It was a fantastic gift that lead to many an awe-struck late-night call to Markus about some passage of his that I'd just read. One Krishnamurti excerpt even made it on to a greeting card published by my company (see attached image). Needless to say it was not a great seller, but it was groundbreaking! Reiner could go deep, but also kept it light with an equally inspiring love for a good set of stand-up comedy. His spirit lives on.
Dear Chako - my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You and Reiner were always so lovely to me and my children when we lived in Bacon Court. You had the vision to make our little enclave as beautiful as it could be and we all benefited from your commitment and courteous and respectful way of treating all your neighbors. Take care, E...
We send our condolences to the Peters family. When we moved to Bronxville Reiner was one of the first neighbors we met. So very kind to us. Peace to your family. Elizabeth, Bob, Grace and John Yienger
