Join MemoriesI remember my Dad always playing with us. As a parent now, I know how exhausting it can be to play with your kids and I always think my kids can tell that my heart really isn’t ‘in it’ when I’m playing with them (which isn’t often). But in my memories, I remember my Dad loving to play with us. He was always jumping in the pool and playing games ...
Playing Smurfs with Jill and her friends on Waterbury; Dad and I would act like Gargamel and Azriel and chase the girls around
Watching Inspector Gadget together
Playing Genesis games together: Reggie Jackson baseball and Madden football
Taking me to the batting cages at swings and things
Teaching me how to be a pitcher in the backyard
Dad bought Jill and I a driveway basketball hoop and was always playing with us and our friends
Dad taught me how to play football and came to every game
For years, Dad was an assistant coach for my baseball teams and always encouraged me to work hard and do my best
Jill Bee The summer before my senior year of high school, I went to look at several colleges with my parents; mostly my mom. One weekend I was supposed to visit St. Bonaventure college in New York but my mom couldn’t take me for some reason. I think I knew deep down that I probably wouldn’t attend college in New York but I love to travel and stay in hotels and eat at restaurants. My dad ended up taking me on this road trip to NY to see St. Bonaventure. My dad also loves to travel, stay in hotels, and eat out. I remember it being a fun weekend and I remember my dad being really excited. It’s probably not too common for a 17 year old girl to go on a weekend trip with her dad. He bought me a St. Bonaventure sweatshirt at the college bookstore. Whenever I come across the name of that small college, I am transported back to that weekend and I remember him proudly buying me that sweatshirt.
Dad and I loved to watch boxing together; We watched multiple live fights together and also lots of classic old boxing matches
After HS, Dad and Mom took me to colleges and helped me decide on UD. Dad moved me into my Freshman dorm was always visiting and taking me and friends out to dinner and buying us beers :)
I remember I needed a desk in my room my senior year in college. Dad drove four hours to my house at Miami University, took me to Big Lots to buy me a desk, put it together at my new house, and then drove four hours back to Cleveland that same night.
Mark Kinzly Shakespeare has always been a favorite of mine, so Mom and Dad took me to Stratford to experience the best performers put on some of his classic plays. It was unforgettable and extraordinarily generous
Mark Kinzly Dad and I always watched the games and cheered on the Browns whenever we were able to watch together. One time, when the family was visiting Chicago, Dad and I went with Adam to watch the Browns in a Browns Backers bar with a bunch of other fans there. The Browns won in dramatic fashion and Dad was leading the cheering in the whole bar. A cherished sports memory
Dad and I would always watch UD basketball games together. When Dad visited UD, we were able to sneak him into the student section with us. We had a great time cheering, shouting and heckling the other team while UD won.
My senior year at UD, Dad drove all the way from Cleveland so we could go to the Ani Difranco concert together. Then drove me all the way back, just because he is the best
When a movie about boxing came out that also starred Russel Crowe, who we loved in Gladiator, Dad and I of course wanted to see it. For Father's Day that year I took Dad to see Cinderella Man in the theatres and we thoroughly enjoyed the special occasion.

Dad grew up as a Yankees fan in Long Island. When I was in my 20's I started to get interested in his fandom and we became fans together. He would tell me about his youth and stories and seeing Mickey Mantle and other great players when he was a kid. I was so happy to go see Yankees games with him in the historic stadium and experience that. We had...
Zwolle and Paris with Mom and Dad
When I was working with Abbott in Temecula, CA, Dad flew out by himself for a weekend. We went to great dinners together, watched football, took a day trip to San Diego, and enjoyed a weekend just the 2 of us.
Mark Kinzly In 2010 and 2013, Jill's children Sean and Mallory were born; Mom and Dad were so excited to be grandparents and love them very much.
Dad and I always loved classic Mob movies, shows and history; As time went on and Dad came to live with my in Chicago, we would watch Sopranos every night. We loved to quote the show and Dad would talk about growing up in NY
Jill Bee So many fun dinners at Moosehead
Ever since they were old enough to understand, Dad would sent a good morning text message to my kids, wishing them a good day.
Mark Kinzly In 2013 and 2015, Dad came to live with me in Chicago for a few months at a time. After we got "acclimated" to sharing a bedroom condo as grown Dad and son, we had a great time going out to eat at all the Chicago spots, driving around the city, and doing our best to enjoy the unique life situation
Mark Kinzly Dad and I loved cheering on the Cavs especially when LeBron led the team to the playoffs each year. In 2016 the Cavs made it to Game 7 of the Finals. And although we couldn't watch in person, I know Dad was watching from North Olmsted as Cleveland won the championship
Mark Kinzly STRATFORD VISIT
Jill Bee In the summer of 2019, Dad bought tickets to the Indians game for Sean, Mallory, him and me. Sean was so excited to see the Indians play at progressive field. Dad bought us really great tickets and Sean was able to push himself up to the fence to get an autograph from an Indians player and he was over the moon. The Indians won the game and it was such a great night.
