I pay my respect and tribute today to Pacita Marasigan James, born on 22 May 1950, in Manila-Phillipines. A daughter, a wife, a sister, an aunt, a grand aunt or a friend-if you were fortunate enought to know her, you wo... more

Mrs Raquel Bloom Pacita James May 22, 1950 – June 3, 2018 68 years Order of Service “There is a stairway in our lives, which each of us must tread, each step becomes a memory, to ease the years ahead. The curving gracious banister, glowing burnished gold as each one of these memories, Helps the pictures to unfold, A tribute go a lady, as fine as she could be, who lingered with us for a while, but now from pain is free, God bless you...You have reached the highest stair, and helped to pave our way” 11:30 am Wednesday 13th June 2018 St Columba’s Presbyterian Church 247 Old Northern Rd, Castle Hill NSW 2154 Rev. Moses Hahn, Officiating Welcome and Statement of Purpose: Rev. Moses Hahn - St Columba’s Presbyterian Church, Castle Hill Pianist: Elise Lee Hymn: Amazing Grace - All Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see. ‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed. Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; ‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home. The Lord has promised good to me, His word my hope secures; He will my shield and portion be, As long as life endures. Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace. The world shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun refuse to shine; But God, who called me here below, Shall be forever mine. When we’ve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise Than when we’d first begun. Prayer - Rev. Moses Hahn Eulogy: • Raquel will be accompanied by her family, Michael, Stephanie & Symantha Bloom • Bern Tinny/Mary Jane Simmons • Rachel Simmons representing the Simmons & Marasigan families Prayer: “Our Lady of Perpetual Help” (prayer requested by the late Pacita James) O Mother of Perpetual Help, with the greatest confidence I present myself to you. I implore your help in the problems of my daily life. Trials and sorrow often depress me; painful privations bring heartache into my life; often I meet the cross. Have pity on me, compassionate Mother. Take care of my needs, free me from my sufferings or, if it be the will of God that I should suffer still longer, grant that I ma endure all with love and patience. Mother of Perpetual Help, I ask this in your love and power. Special presentation by Pacita’s family Prayer: Warren Lyons Reading: John 6: 35-40 & John 14:1-6 – Bob Lawrence Address: Rev. Moses Hahn Various prayers after which we will say together the Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen Hymn: Be Still, my soul. Be still, my soul; the Lord is on thy side; Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain; Leave to thy God to order and provide; In every change He faithful will remain. Be still, my soul; thy best, thy heavenly, Friend Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end. Be still, my soul; thy God doth undertake To guide the future as He has the past. Thy hope, thy confidence, let nothing shake; All now mysterious shall be bright at last. Be still, my soul; the waves and winds still know His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below. Be still, my soul, though dearest friends depart And all is darkened in the vale of tears; Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart, Who comes to soothe thy sorrows and thy fears. Be still, my soul; thy Jesus can repay From His own fulness all He takes away. Be still, my soul; the hour is hastening on When we shall be forever with the Lord, When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone, Sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored. Be still, my soul; when change and tears are past, All safe and blessed we shall meet at last Committal Benediction Pacita’s family would like to thank you for your expression of sympathy, love and support and for being here today to celebrate the life of Pacita. After the service refreshments will be served in the Church Hall.
