Sara Hudson I have not ever personally met Kieran, hence the photo being my art rather than a moment we shared; I am an old friend of both Carter and Kevin's from way back in the day, or, at least it seems like it was so long ago that we all used to hang out. But nevertheless I felt like this young man was a part of my life, and in a small way I was a silent part of his. It was a tremendous privilege to see him come into this world. It was heart-rending to watch him fight through profound adversity. And it was such a pleasure to track his progress as he aged and became a much loved member of his community. His triumphs, milestones, and exploits have been sources of happiness for me and, in a way, pride, as the years have passed, and I am so very grateful to have been a witness to the light he brought to this earth. I am glad to have known him, despite it being in such a distant and peripheral way, his energy and the love of his parents made me smile more times than I can count. Thank you, Kieran, Kevin, and Carter for allowing me to share this with you, it has meant more to me than you could know. My heart is with you and everyone who knew him. May his memory be a blessing.
Heather Proffitt Kieran Memorial Tattoo Steven's "pink unicorn" in honor of Kier. The first Christmas that we knew Kieran I asked him what he wanted his gift to be, he wouldn't respond, and finally he told me "a pink unicorn". He got a pink unicorn from us for every Christmas and birthday!
