Joseph Rhodes Mom was part of a very well respected family (my grandfather owned the lumber yard in town) and they weren't sure about their daughter dating Dad. Eventually he won them over. And as it turned out, he couldn't have been a more devoted husband and father, and had a very accomplished business career.

Joseph Rhodes This is Mom and Dad their senior years of high school. Dad graduated a year behind mom even though he was older - when they moved to Roswell from TX his parents held him back

Joseph R. They dated all through high school and were married in 1962 - midway in college - for 52 years until Mom passed in 2014.

Mario Morales Joe Sr, as we affectionately refer to him, connected with us from the very beginning when we first visited Colorado for Joe and Natalie's wedding in 1998. This kind soul and his lovely wife Kay became instant friends. Over the years we had the privilege to share family get-togethers in CT, Hoboken, Miami, NC Outer Banks, and Los Angeles. This photo was taken at a most memorable event, Josh's first dinner in a restaurant. God bless this wonderful family.

From the day I joined Columbine Country Club at the age of 24 Joe treated me like an equal and was always kind to me. We played golf some and he would always comment on how far I hit the ball and if I really wanted to play with an "old guy:. Of course I always did. For some reason he always called me Marco and would always say the kindest things to...

Joseph Rhodes Dad loved sports and this was at a Buff game with one of his longtime friends Pete Bergner and me and my friend Steve Mintz. They also enjoyed attending Kansas basketball games together. Thank you to Steve for this picture

I have such awesome funny memories of the times I spent with Joe. When we first met on the golf course at CCC it was instant friendship, we would BS about golf and family. Kay was a big part of our conversations, and his love for her and his children was second to nobody. Joe ate dinner with my family every week at the pub, and became part of our f...

Natalie Morales rhodes To our loving father, father-in-law, and grandpa! You are so missed already. You taught us so much about how to live with integrity and strong character. You showed us how to love deeply and with loyalty. And you were the best example as husband, father and grandfather. We only wish we had more memories in this last year. We love you and know you are with Kay finally living your golden years in heaven! Thank you for always reminding of what is most important, loving one another and cherishing beautiful moments.

Mark R. So sorry for your loss. He always said - now Marco if you and the wife ever want to go to CA and see the set and meet my daughter-in-law I w...

We are so sorry for your loss. Joe was an incredible friend to us and our daughters. He loved to talk about his 2 wonderful children and, of course, his grandchildren. David and I felt like we knew his family because of all the stories he would tell. We feel so privileged to have known him. We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers....

Lacking photos in BK, I am unable to post a picture or two. I will always chuckle when I think about Big Joe. Picture: him trying to chase down lightning-fast Bubba; him trying work on my golf swing in a door frame; or our shared lifelong enjoyment of Frosted Flakes! If I had known his high-school nickname was “Little Joe the Wrangler,” I would hav...

The Hendersons enjoyed a wonderful summer vacation time when The Rhodes Family lived in Seattle and again at Christmas times in CO when Grandmother Henderson was alive. Joe & Kay, Joseph & Julie hosted memorable times together.

From Mary and Mike Jones: We loved Joe! He was such a kind person! He always had a smile of his face. I met Joe in 1995 when I was helping out with the Junior Golf Program when our two kids were starting to play golf. Joe was a volunteer, which I thought was so special! He and I would laugh and joke with all the kids, while we scored for them. H...

Joe was the kindest man who was a friend to all. I had the good fortune to know Joe when he was still working. At Columbine, he volunteered for Junior Golf. Our son loved to be paired with Joe as he made golf fun for all. Our son had some allergy issues and Joe was always at the ready with some OTC meds. A wonderful man and friend who is misse...

My fondest memory of Mr. Rhodes was when he patiently and meticulously tried to teach 4 college aged girls how to chain up the tires on their car in case of bad weather during their drive from Littleton to Copper Mountain. ⛓🚙⚠️❄️To this day I think I could do it! 💯💪🏻 He also came to our rescue after a Cardinals/Cubs game when we missed the last...
