Tested Positive for COVID-19 On September 22, dad was tested for COVID-19 because others (in fact, all) of his unit had tested positive. He was moved to the COVID unit with no symptoms.
Began to show mild COVID-10 symptoms. - Positive test +9 days His symptoms included a little bit of nausea and decreased blood oxygen levels. He was given oxygen and a higher calorie, easier to digest diet.
Showed improvement - Tested positive +20 days The facility had called to confirm end-of-life wishes just 2 days before, but then he began to improve. We Facetimed with him, and he was very weak but more communicative than he had been before. The entire unit was moved back upstairs for therapy, to "recover" and to make room for 2 more entire units ...
